What’s Involved

You’ll Need

  • Experience coordinating welding inspections and NDT activities within shipbuilding, fabrication or heavy industry.
  • Ability to interpret welding drawings, WPS, ITPs and relevant technical standards.
  • Knowledge of applicable industry standards, including AS/NZS, ISO and AWS.
  • Strong understanding of weld traceability, inspection processes and quality requirements.
  • Proven attention to detail with accurate documentation and record management skills.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to coordinate internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QA/QC or quality management systems
  • CSWIP Welding Inspector or equivalent certification. (Desirable)
  • Experience in defence, marine or naval shipbuilding projects. (Desirable)
  • Previous experience coordinating third-party inspection services. (Desirable)
